This site is dedicated to my search and efforts to turn my humble Southern California lot into something beautiful!

For years, I have devoured garden magazines, imagining how I could make my yard look as wonderful. But where is my adorable shed/garden shack? It's coming. Where is my meandering paver path? Also on its way!

The front yard is a lot more developed than the back, but still could use A LOT of suggestions. (What should I grow next to the path?)

I believe anyone can make their yard suitable for a magazine, but I don�t think it can be done overnight, unless one has a lot of money and a lot of time.

So, I am looking for everyone's help and opinions! I will post pictures and descriptions of successes (and failures) and invite comments. Please try not to be too mean!

Hopefully, this site will demonstrate how long it takes to actually grow a beautiful garden from all the instructions in the garden magazines. Hopefully, we will learn together.
